We had to make a choice by March 1st and considering the service and corespondence we received from each company during our time of consideration, Progressive was the hands down winner. It took State Farm almost three weeks to get a quote for us and every time we got ANY info from them, it was because we made the call. They first said they had to ask me about my accident in August, but no one ever called to ask, so I called and the lady said they’d be back to me by the end of the day. Three phone calls from us and week later, they finally gave us something. My friend lost suddenly in a car wreck a couple weeks ago. Days later she found out that she is expecting. Cobra coverage through his insurance company is over $600 monthly. She is having a hard time finding insurance with her pre-existing condition. Does anyone know of an insurance company with reasonable rates that would be willing to cover her?

I rent a room in a flat near my university, which is only 10 minutes away, but my car licence is registered on my old address. I’ve been living in this address for over a year, but coming back on holidays to my parents home (25 miles away). I have no proof of this address as everything is still registered on my parents home. I am trying to get insurance and i want to put the address of the place i live in now (comes cheaper), but like i said, my car licence is registered elsewhere. Should i inform DVLA of address change? i’ve been reading on google for the past hour that it is illegal to be registered on a different adddress than it says on insurance/car licence.
